Sleep and Sound Therapy

SLEEP, PHYSICAL HEALING AND DELTA BRAINWAVES

We spend around one third of our life sleeping, the importance of a good night's sleep is of great importance, not only would we not survive without sleep but bad sleep can have detrimental effects to our health.

High levels of stress in our modern world makes it difficult for us to reach a deep level of sleep and there is an epidemic of people experiencing disturbed sleep patterns leading them into a new day without proper rest and recuperation. Sleep deprivation affects our health in many ways, such as higher levels of anxiety, depression, impaired cognition, weight gain and an increased risk of stroke, diabetes, breast cancer and heart disease.

Ideally, as we fall asleep our brainwaves become slower and slower until we reach deep Delta; a space where our body experiences the lowest blood pressure, respiration, heart rate, metabolism and body temperature. This is the stage in our sleep cycle where the body recuperates, heals and re-tunes itself for the next day. In this state there are no mental processes, no emotional processes and no sense of time, instead our energy is being directed towards healing.

Dreaming is another essential stage of sleep where our emotional healing takes place in Theta and high Delta. Using the science of sound we are able to enter the 3 stages of Delta and Theta using binaural beats and your “fundamental frequency”, thus amplifying delta and theta brainwaves and awakening this function of the brain and nervous system. With little effort, deeper and more cohesive sleep is easily achieved non-invasively with sound.
